Advent is a season of hope and longing. It is tied to the anticipation of the historical coming of Christ. It would appear then that the Christian concept of hope must be based in some measure on the coming of Christ into our own lives. It also appears that hope is a wish for something different than what we are currently experiencing. We are seeking a change or transformation of some kind.
· What is the object of Christian hope?
· Is hope any different from a prayer of petition in which we seek to obtain a specific favor of God?
· Can you share any experience of how you felt your prayers shifted your hope?
