A Message from Sr. Kateri
It was my privilege to receive the gratitude of 10 of our employees for the beautiful and plentiful Thanksgiving Food Baskets put together by members of the St. Leonard Faith Community. Employee gratitude came in words of thanks as well as tears of thanks. They were deeply touched by the generosity of those who had never met them.
It was also my privilege to receive the gratitude of 13 employees that we helped with Christmas gifts for their children or the children they are raising. Among them there were over 30 children that were given gifts who otherwise would have received very little, if anything. Each employee expressed their sincerest gratitude and feelings of being overwhelmed by the generosity of their co-workers, residents and members of the St. Leonard Faith Community. The 26 employees who received Christmas Food Baskets also expressed their gratitude for the generosity of co-workers, residents and our vendors. Tears were both an expression of gratitude and joy.
Verbal and written thank you notes are reflected here:
Please tell these generous people how grateful I am and how much this means to my children.
Two children sent cards that said: “We loved everything. Thank you!” “Thank you for everything. We love it!” “I love everything I got!”
How can I ever say “thank you” enough times?
Thank you and God bless you for being so generous to me!
All I can do is cry my thanks! This is so overwhelming!
Like our employees, I am always touched by the generosity of all those who consider the needs of others above their own. Some of you purchased gifts while others gave money for gifts so that we were able to purchase gifts for those children whose tags remained on the tree after the deadline date. The ultimate goal was for each child to receive at least three gifts. We fell short of that goal only once or twice. Thank you so much for your kindness!
May your New Year be one of peace, joy and good health!
